NNPC/OANDO Scholarship 2025 Details
The NNPC/OANDO Scholarship is a Joint Venture University Scholarship and an initiative of two oil and gas companies in pursuance of their Social Investment programme in Education.
The NNPC/OERNL JV Tertiary Scholarship (hosted jointly by the Nigerian National Petroleum Commission (NNPC) and Oando Energy Resources Nigeria Limited (OERNL)) aims to promote academic excellence and enhance the employability of young Nigerian university students.
NNPC/OANDO Scholarship 2025 is categorized into two;
First is the National Merit Award (NMA),
and the other is the Areas of Operation award.
The National Merit Award is open to all Nigerian university students while the Areas of Operation award is open to students who are indigenes of the areas where the companies operate.
NNPC OANDO Scholarship Requirements
The requirements candidates must satisfy to be eligible for the NNPC/OANDO Scholarship are as follows;
NATIONAL MERIT AWARD (NM)
Open to all Nigerians.
AREAS OF OPERATION MERIT AWARD
Open Nigerians who are indigenes of Beyelsa, Delta, Imo, and Rivers States.
The following criteria for eligibility are the general requirements for all candidates;
- Must be citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
- Must be registered FULL TIME undergraduates in an accredited and approved University in Nigeria
- Must be in 100 Level or possess proof of admission into Undergraduate programme in the current academic session.
- Must not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship from an entity operating in the Oil and Gas Industry, National or International
NNPC/OANDO Scholarship Amount
The NNPC/OANDO Scholarship is a ₦200,000.00 annual award to all successful scholars and winners of the scholarship.
The NNPC/OERNL JV Tertiary Scholarship is renewable on annual basis for all candidates who meet the minimum required CGPA

Return to the Scholarship site and log in with your registered email and password to upload your information.
Enter your personal information, National Identification Number (if available), educational information, other information and upload the required scanned documents.
Ensure the name used in applications matches the names on all documentation in the same order. Upload an affidavit or certificate if otherwise.
Ensure you view all documents after uploading to eliminate errors during uploading.
When asked to upload a photo, upload a passport photograph with a white background.
Recheck application information to avoid error.
Return to “Active Scholarships” and click on the scheme you wish to apply and click “Apply Now” to submit information
You will receive a notification displayed on the screen and via email that you have successfully applied. To confirm, Check “My application” under the “My account” section on your profile account.
Return to the scholarship webpage, enter your Email and Password to download your profile, and proceed to have your Head of Department sign the document.
Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile, this will be used for verification.
