The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) expresses profound grief and outrage over the brutal killing of its member, Lucky Nonso Emeh Esq. from the Aba Branch. Emeh was tragically murdered by unidentified gunmen on Monday, September 2, 2024, at his home in Aba, Abia State.

This heinous act is not only an attack on the legal community but also an affront to justice, the rule of law, and the sanctity of human life. The NBA vehemently condemns this senseless violence and calls upon security agencies to investigate the crime thoroughly. We urge the authorities to diligently pursue those responsible and ensure they are brought to justice promptly.

The NBA is dedicated to seeing that those behind this evil act are identified and held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. We request the NBA Aba leadership to collaborate closely with the police and the family to ensure a comprehensive investigation.

We will continue to closely monitor the investigation and remain resolute in our commitment to safeguarding the rights and safety of our members and Nigerians at large.

We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the late Lucky Nonso Emeh, as well as to the entire NBA Aba Branch. We share in your grief and urge everyone to stay strong during this challenging time. The NBA is with you and will offer all necessary support to ensure that justice is served.
