We are ecstatic to introduce another phenomenal speaker for the ELawyer Nigeria Career Fair 2025: Amanda Uzoagba, an exceptional Entertainment Lawyer and the Head of Licensing for West Africa at Mdundo Music. Amanda’s career journey is the perfect illustration of how to successfully pivot a legal degree into a thriving role at the heart of the creative economy.

The theme of her session is perfectly aligned with her experience: “Unlocking Career Pathways: Discovering Purpose Beyond Your Degree.”

A trailblazer in Entertainment law, Amanda Uzoagba is a genuine powerhouse in the nexus of law and entertainment. After earning her law degree and being called to the Nigerian Bar in 2017, she bypassed the conventional path to merge her legal skills with her passion for the creative industries. Her dedication to protecting intellectual property rights and ensuring fair compensation for creatives has made her a highly respected figure.

Her background includes significant contributions to major film and television productions as a legal executive at EbonyLife Limited, where she worked on projects like the Netflix originals Blood Sisters and Elesin Oba: The King’s Horseman. She also founded Goldwhisk Consult, a boutique firm offering legal and business advisory services to filmmakers, musicians, and other entrepreneurs in the creative space.

Now, as the Head of Licensing for West Africa at Mdundo, a leading Pan-African music streaming platform, she is shaping the future of music monetization and content acquisition across Nigeria and Ghana.

Amanda will share her insights on how legal professionals can leverage their fundamental degree to navigate non-traditional yet rewarding career paths. She will show you how to identify your unique value proposition and translate your knowledge into purpose-driven professional roles outside the courtroom. This session is a must-attend for anyone who feels limited by their academic major and is seeking to chart a dynamic and fulfilling career trajectory.
